Radius Security is an end-to-end security provider.  Radius designs, installs, monitors, and services customers’ security systems in many high risk and high need applications.  Our monitoring station is in our head office in Richmond, BC and enjoys some of the highest success rates in the industry.  Radius partners with Police Liaisons to ensure strong relationships continue with our responding authorities.

THE ROLE:

Customers depend on our technicians to deploy reliable, innovative security solutions that align with their needs and to keep them up and running.  The sales team relies on our technicians to assist with system design to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved. 

Our Security Technicians are the frontline representatives of Radius in our customer’s buildings and embody our DNA to take care of the site’s installation & maintenance needs.

CORE TASKS:

Customer Interactions

• Provide customer service that consistently WOW the customer
• Train clients on the proper use of the installed equipment and interactions with our monitoring station
• Comply with customer site procedures and requirements
• Communicate with the client to manage arrival and completion of project expectations either directly or through the Radius Coordination Team

Company Compliance

• Align with the DNA which makes up the cultural fit at Radius Security
• Safely operate company-issued vehicle, adhering to company policy, and take responsibility for maintenance of vehicle, as outlined in vehicle policy
• Responsible to comply with all company policies and procedures, and to request clarification when unsure.
• Meet or exceed standards of the company and industry for the installation and service of the security systems

Accountability

• Effectively complete daily schedules to meet deadlines.
• Arrive at all scheduled meetings and appointments on time, in uniform and properly equipped to complete the service work scheduled.
• Take initiative to communicate with Service Coordination team as to any problems, issues, scheduling conflicts, delays, or unoccupied time.
• Fulfill on-call duties as required.
• Overtime as required to complete work
• Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork or electronic submissions daily.

Experience:

• Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract provided
• 3-5 years of experience in installations and service in the security industry with a valid security TQ
• Experience with installation and service of major brands of intrusion, access control, and camera systems

Knowledge:

• Security applications and concepts
  • Video verification / Video analytics / Forensic video systems
  • Access control configuration
  • Intrusion alarms
  • ULC Fire, Burg
